Once it was just a dream, now we are living it. This is how Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Institute “CHUEN” began almost twenty-five years ago. The idea and desire started with a desire to be part of a centuries long tradition and to contribute its nourishment through martial arts.

Passionate and highly devoted to traditional values and comprehensive scrutiny of Chinese martial arts, the Institute offers high quality standards in Traditional Wing Chun, Wudang Taijiquan, Qi Gong and Chinese Medicine classes.
Institute “CHUEN” is the headquarters of traditional Wing Chun in the UK which is affiliated with the Traditional World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association (TWWCKFA) based in Melbourne, Australia and the Grandmaster William Cheung. Nourishing and cultivating Chinese culture along with martial arts, the Institute is honoured to be recognised as the official representative of Wudang Taijiquan Association (WTA) based in Hangzhou, China.
With a vast experience and an extensive knowledge, the institute organises seminars, workshops, exhibitions, tours to China in pursuit for better understanding of traditional and scientific cultural perspectives. Classes and tutorials are conducted by experienced and qualified instructors and assistants with different groups of classes, beginners, advance etc.
All classes are well organised and structured offering high professional standards and regulated in accordance with global bodies requirements (TWWCKFA, WDA). Therefore, regular tests and gradings are conducted for each level followed by a worldwide recognised certificate of achievement before progressing to the next skill level.
Accumulated experience over the years facilitates a wide range of teaching strategies and skills, which learners find easy to absorb the knowledge, as well as skills, and achieve a quick progress. Patience and individual approach are the virtues of the Institute’s teaching which consequently guaranties comprehensive understanding and quick progress.
